Corporate Security Supervisor / Team Leader (In-house)
Location: London E16 (nearest tube: Canning Town, Custom House)
Salary: £38,020 + benefits including pension scheme, season ticket loan, 30 days annual leave, Uniform provided.
Hours: Monday to Friday. You will rotate weekly through 3 shifts: 06:00 to 14:30, 09:30 to 18:00, 14:00 to 22:30.
Applicants must hold a SIA Door Supervisor license and have experience supervising teams.
This is a unique opportunity to join a first-class in-house security team. You will lead and manage the front-line Security and Operations team delivering a welcoming and inclusive customer experience.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Prior Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and develop a diverse security team.
- Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor license
- Experience conducting performance reviews, monitoring and managing absence, carrying out return to works interviews after sickness, conducting informal guidance meetings, standard setting meetings and disciplinary investigations.
- Happy working a shift pattern consisting of the following times: 06:00 to 14:30, 09:30 to 18:00, 14:00 to 22:30.
- First class customer care skills with a passion for service excellence.
- A passion for training and developing staff
- Experience of positively engaging stakeholders
Duties will include:
- Lead, organise, deploy and manage the security team
- Plan, organise and implement the weekly, weekday and weekend rotas
- Prepare and deliver officer briefings at the start or end of shifts.
- Work co-operatively with internal and external event organisers and attend event planning meetings providing professional advice on security staffing matters and produce security plans for events.
- Quality assure standards ensuring that officers, work in accordance with the SIA Regulations and SOPs.
- Manage and co-ordinate the first line response in dealing with any incidents and emergencies
- Co-ordinate the production of incident reports and statements
- Responsible for managing, a team of Security Officers. This includes all aspects of staff management, maintaining standards, ensuring that staff work in accordance with the SOPs etc.
